Wednesday October 20th - Linda and the "Ask a Lawyer" Program

Today Linda donated her time to meet with East Haven folks as part of the New Haven County Bar Association’s Ask a Lawyer program. She started the program in our town and it's been very successful. She will be at every session, usually with another attorney.

The Ask a Lawyer program is designed to provide members of the community with general legal information; an attorney meets with the participant and provides a free 10-15 minute consultation. If the individual requires additional assistance, they are referred to our Lawyer Referral Service or a social service agency. No appointment is necessary. Consultations are given on a first-come, first-served basis. The Ask a Lawyer program will be held from 5:00p.m. to 7:00p.m. on one Wednesday a month at East Haven's Hagaman Memorial Library at 227 Main Street. November 17 and December 15 are the next dates.

The fund raiser at DC Moore School today was a wonderful craft fair. The vendors offered a variety of items. There was a good crowd and everyone was having a great time buying beautiful crafts. The bake sale had so many Yummie items it was hard to decide which to buy. There was also a raffle. Thank you to Sonja, the PTO president for putting together a great event for the school.
